The Aliens are Attacking!

A few weeks ago Melissa looked out the window and saw a very unusual bug. Ray screamed, "Alien!" and in an instant the bug went from the picture on the left to the picture on the right.
Ray said Melissa ran to the pantry, grabbed the foil, and began making hats stating that, "she didn't want the aliens to eat her brain!" Ha! She was sweet and made hats for her sisters also. Whew! Crisis diverted.

Update time

It has taken some time, but I have finally updated the blog with pictures of these cuties. Enjoy!

Changes....

Without going into very much detail, I wanted to document the hysterectomy I had on April 2, 2012. It was a hard decision, but I know it was the right one for me at this time in my life. I am so thankful for my amazing doctor, John Partridge, and his knowledge and experience that has blessed my life on more than one occasion. He holds a special place in my heart.
This is me at the hospital trying to get my bladder to work again. (too much information?)
Check out those super attractive tight tights I wore my entire time in the hospital. They worked, no blood clots!
Resting, at home with my Kayla Brooke. My family has taken such good care of me!
We were blessed enough to have my Dad, Poppa Bear, come and stay with the girls while Ray and I were in the hospital. My Mom came the next day and has been here with us since. I am a little nervous with her going home at the end of this week, but am thankful to have had her taking such good care of all of us. After a week of fever and tummy troubles, I seem to be finally healing. The Lord has blessed me.

A few pictures from Easter Eve

We have been blessed to have Grandma here with us this Easter and have LOVED spending time with her!
The Easter Bunny was VERY good to us this year!
... even though the girls set THREE (yes, 3) traps trying to catch him!
Melissa's trap consisted of a network of kitchen items and string set up to flip over and entangle him. Kayla's trap consisted of pipe cleaners, tape and carrots. The carrots were to tempt him into the box and his feet and body would then get mixed up with the pipe cleaners and trap him!
Abbie and Daddy set a basic trap with carrots as the bait. Great idea!
Kayla could hardly contain her excitement upon seeing the Easter baskets! She screamed and started jumping up and down! Teehee.. cute girl!
Abbie showing us her loot!
Melissa rockin' her Easter grass.
Kayla studying her basket of goodies.
We had so much fun decorating eggs this year!
Happy Easter!

Fun with Dr. Seuss

We had so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday last month.
We made The Cat in the Hat "Thinking Hats" and wore them for most of the day.
For snack we had Cat in the Hat dessert. Yum-O!

Fun With Daddy-O

I knew the world wouldn't be complete without the following two pictures out there...
We have dance parties most nights when Daddy-O gets home. Rock it, baby!

T-Ball, Coach Pitch

Kayla started T-Ball and Melissa moved up to Coach Pitch this year! The girls are very athletic and really enjoy playing softball. Kayla is a really FAST runner and Melissa hits EVERY good pitch that comes at her. We are so blessed to have such talented girls!
Melissa gearing up to be the catcher.
Kayla waiting patiently to have a go at hitting. Daddy and Abbie LOVE going on nature walks while Melissa and Kayla play.
I am so proud of my babies!
