Father's Day Campout

The girls decided that for Father's Day this year they wanted to takr Daddy and Grandpa on a campout in our backyard. They had SO much fun!

Happy HeatWave

Both Melissa and Kayla have an obsession with the number 100. They LOVE all things 100. I cannot fully explain their excitement a few days ago when they saw the temperature reading in the van reach 100. Though I was driving they BEGGED me to take a picture... So, at the stoplight, I snapped a picture of the 100*.

A few minutes later Melissa began squealing with delight as she saw that the temperature went OVER 100 and again BEGGED me to take a picture. (pay no attention to the speedometer, I was clearly not stopped while taking the next 3 pictures...)

More happy laughter at 102*! By this time Abbie was also laughing as the numbers went up...

We were in heavy traffic for a picture of 103, but here is 104*.

My Amelia Bedelia, I mean Melissa, was a little hesitant to get out of the van in 104* weather as she had heard me say earlier in the week that we were going to absolutely melt when the temperature reached 100*. She takes things quite literally, and we convinced the end was near. It may have been with the heat index at 115*!!

I love my little number obsessed girls... they keep me smiling!

Beach Vacation
