Our Trip To Utah!

In my efforts to keep a better track of our happenings, I will try to be more diligent at keeping up with the blog. Life has been so busy lately I haven't had time to do too many "extra" things... Time to slow down a bit and record a basic bit of our fun.
Last month we did it... we FINALLY made it out to Utah! We traveled with Ray's Mom and Dad and were able to spend time with his sister Lisa, my sister Christy, and I was even able to meet up with some friends from my mission. Great times!

The girls in front of the Salt Lake Temple... it was SO windy, but we LOVED it!
Abbie touching the foot of the Savior
Kayla holding a Chinese Book Of Mormon.. she was in HEAVEN as she is still obsessed with China!
Melissa standing in front of the Peyton Temple Construction Site... It's going to be beautiful, just like Mel!
Ready to go swimming at the hotel.
In the hot tub with CiCi!
 Touching the Salt Lake Temple
 Cool Daddy-O, cool...
 Sisters!
2 of my 3 MTC roommates! Kam and I were companions. :) Love these girls!
 Mission friends!!
Mom's missionary companion from her time in Rexburg.
 Daddy's family!
Playing in the snow at the foot of the Peyton Temple.
 Kayla and Mommy!
 Daddy and Aunt Lisa
Besties drinking root beer... Madison, Melissa and Kayla.
Finally back, in our van, headed home. They were all asleep within 10 minutes of buckling into their seat belts.
The trip went by too quickly and we loved every minute of it! It was so good to spend time with our Utah family and see and experience some of the bigger things from church history. We can hardly wait for our next trip!

Future Scientists

Two weeks ago we took the girls to the Science Museum to see Polar Express while it was in the IMax. It was pretty amazing and felt like we were right IN the movie.  For whatever reason, I didn't get a picture of the girls in the theatre, but I did get a few good ones from our visit at the museum before the movie started.
Future astronauts.

Doing the Moon Walk...
 Building....

We enjoyed the guitar exhibit the most. There were several "hands on" guitars we were able to play with.

This was our favorite exhibit.
 This one was HUGE!

The Further Adventures of Zippy

We LOVE our Elf on The Shelf, Zippy!! He has brought so much excitement to our mornings as the girls (literally) race down the stairs to see what mischief he as gotten into.

Kayla left Zippy a note one evening inviting him to play with their doll house... he seemed very happy with the invitation!

Swinging from the fan!
Taking a trip to the North Pole...

Zippy SHRUNK our bananas!

Adding to our Christmas tree forest...

Using Abbie's potty... you don't WANT to know what he left in there!

Building marshmallow snowmen!

Holding baby Jesus.

Follow the Prophet..

He left a warning for the girls to be good!

Sneaky guy turned our milk pink!

Is that an amusement park ride?

Shaving at the hotel...

He got a little wrapped up in his work...

Trying on the princess hair bows he brought the girls.
We love you, Zippy!

Gingerbread Houses

We are making memories one day at a time...
We decided it would be fun to make our gingerbread houses while we were in D.C. and had a blast! The girls and Daddy made the house structures Sunday night and we decorated them Monday morning, before we left for home. We have very creative children and it was fun watching their creativity with their houses.

Melissa's house won the "Best Lights" award!
Abbie and Daddy won the "Best Teamwork"award!
Kayla won the "Best Wreath" award!
Family time is the BEST!
