Kayla feeds Evan

A couple of days ago Evan was having a hard time getting the last few peaches out of his bowl so Kayla said, "I help you." She pulled a chair over from the table and proceeded to feed him the rest of the peaches! She did a GREAT job and Evan's belly was SO happy!

RedNeck Bread

Funny Story... This morning Jeremy found that we were out of bread AFTER cooking the hot dogs so he improvised... YUCK! He used graham crackers!!!

Visiting Family

We are visiting Grandma and Poppa and having SOOOO much fun! The girls love all of the attention and are completly eating up their cousin Evan. Aunt Tushy Tushy came in this past Saturday and they have been glued to her side since then! Uncle Keith came up from Clemson for dinner last night and the girls were so happy to see him. Uncle Glenn made up a banana game and the girls caught on really quickly and have had fun trying to trick mommy with it. Uncle Jeremy taught the girls how to feed the dogs and they think that they share the dogs with him now! Tia Ria has been showing them how to feed Evan... they think that they share Evan with her!!! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of CiCi and Kayla asks about her everyday. Grandma and Poppa are completly in love with the girls and have been pouring out the spoiling... of course the girls LOVE it! We had fun yesterday with my cousin Sheri and her two children. They are such good kids and have the best personalities... Riley likes to pretend that he is shy and Emily LOVES to talk!!! We had dinner at Grandma and Papa Seniors house last night and had a good visit with them and Aunt Mindy. Zach wasn't there... but we will catch up with him sometime while we are here. There are a few family members that we haven't seen yet, but we will! We are so blessed to have such a good family.

Father's Day 2008

Check out our Science Experiment!

Last month sometime the girls planted sunflower seeds and were SO SAD when the birds ate them shortly after they started to grow. So, I took the gardening indoors and let the girls plant their own green bean seeds. It was the perfect solution! They grow so fast and Melissa and Kayla really enjoyed watching them grow. They have recently been transplanted outside. As you can see... some of the little cups received more seeds than others.

Twisting Words

Yesterday I selected a "Blues Clues" show for the girls to watch and asked them to guess what we were going to watch. I told them it started with the letter "B" and they began guessing shows. Melissa, being slightly manipulative said, "Blurious George" (instead of Curious George)and "Blaillou" (instead of Caillou)!! She was still trying to watch what she wanted to watch while keeping with my "B" hint. Too cute!

Kayla's Big Girl Bed

This is Kayla on her new big-girl bed! We set it up yesterday and she slept on it last night until around 1AM when the "big thunder" woke her up. She is SO pleased with herself and squeals when she is on it. We are proud of her! Last night I had youth at church and Ray did a slumber party with the girls. They had ice cream, painted finger nails and the whole bit to celebrate her big night. He is such a good Daddy-o. Yeah Kayla!

Our little hypochondriacs

Over the past several months it seems that our family has stayed sick. One or more of us has been sick with some sort of bug since January. I absolutely don't know what to do. Kayla is sick with a REALLY bad cold. I took her to the doctor yesterday and he said to let it run it's course. Fun. Ray has been REALLY sick with some sort of virus that sent him to the hospital from work this past Friday. He could barely move all weekend and went back today (Tuesday) only to find himself still a little too sick to be there. He is still there! My back has been out for about a week and I have had a hard time moving. See? Our family is completely falling apart! Well, these months of sickness have finally taken a toll on Melissa and Kayla. For the past couple of days both of them have had every imaginable thing wrong with them. Take last night for an example. Melissa and Ray have traded beds for the past couple of nights while he was so sick and at the thought of going back to her own bed, Melissa became VERY "ill!" She came into my room after bath and said, "Mommy, I don't think I am going to make it. I have a burning up fever, my head hurts, I think I have an infection AND my back is out." My poor hypochondriac! Then Kayla (who really is sick) follows up with, "I SO sick. My back sick!" Another hypochondriac baby! So, we had a family discussion about not needing to be sick to receive lovie attention and Ray and I decided that no matter how bad we feel, we need to pretend a little better to feel well in front of the girls. They keep me laughing!
