Snow!

We LOVE snow! Around 4:30 this morning it started snowing and it has been snowing ALL day. :) The girls have been checking the windows all day to see when the snow slowed down enough for us to go out and play. We finally made it out just before 4 and they loved it! We didn't stay out very long, actually, Ray was the one that wanted to come in, his ears were frozen... I think the girls would have stayed out MUCH, MUCH longer! We are looking forward to staying home tomorrow, having church here and then playing outside a lot! Did I mention we LOVE snow?
Kayla LOVES her snowsuit and wanted a picture with just her...

More like a Temple...

Melissa picked up a picture of the Palmyra, New York Temple several days ago and said, "Mommy, YOU need to be more like this Temple, calm and peaceful!" ~~~ Yikes! What a wake up call! That statement made such an impression on me. Apparently, I was too grumpy for her liking. What Mommy wants her children to think she isn't like a Temple? I have made a HUGE effort since then to be calm, cool and collected. Thank you, Melissa for the reminder.

Hmmm.

A little OCD? Maybe.
Melissa has an obsession with lining things up... dolls, pencils, food... anything really. :)

Fun in Homeschool

We have SO much fun with Homeschool!
This is Kayla's latest project: A 1-10 Counting with Fish game. She LOVES it!
Each Friday we have a group homeschool activity at our house. We rotate every other week with an art activity and a science activity. The kids LOVE it and LOVE playing with each other at the end of each activity. We have been blessed with wonderful friends!
Making pizza collages:
This past Friday we learned about muscles and bones. The kids tried to make their Play-Doh person stand up. When they were not successful, we added toothpicks to represent the bones. They loved that the Doh-People stood! They "got" the activity straight way!
We LOVE Homeschool!!!

Being Girly

Wanted to capture a picture of the girls "bonding" with make-up and nail polish. They LOVE girly things!

Fun with Play-Doh

The girls had a blast playing with the Play-Doh with Daddy-o this morning. These are some of their creations:

THE Best Slumber Party EVER...

Last night Ray and the girls had, quote, "THE best slumber party ever!" After Ray got home from work they hurried him upstairs to watch movies, eat popcorn and cookies, have a pillow fight and play. He even slept on their floor. They were in heaven!

Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam!

Kayla is a Sunbeam! I have not been able to go to church since before Christmas, so I missed Kayla's first day in big-kid primary. Reports have been coming in that she LOVES it and is very reverent and good. There are only 2 kids in her class, a little boy named Jaden and herself. Jaden's Mommy was very thoughtful and took pictures of the two of them to send to me so that I could see her in her big-kid class. Aren't they cute?

Kayla's 1st Lapbook

Kayla is so excited to show the world her first lapbook that she did "all by herself!" She has been working on the 5 senses for a week and a half and has recorded her "findings" in her lapbook.
