Edison Jr.

The girls and I were in charge of the homeschool activity today with our homeschool group. We had a lot of fun with it. We started out by talking about Thomas Edison followed by the kiddies making their own "Motion Picture Machines." They turned out really cute. Then we divided into two groups of inventors, gave the kids a bag of "goodies" and let their imaginations go free as they invented something new. The 5 and 3 year old group created a robot!! She was so cute. We LOVE homeschooling!!

Facebook Status Updates...

I thought it would be fun to record some of my recent Facebook Status updates... I mostly write about the girls! *** Melissa just informed me that we need the "Perfect Brownie Pan." I told her we would have to wait until I have this baby and can have sugar again. She shrugged and said, "I was just trying to help you out." How thoughtful. ******* Apparently we have a MONSTER in our home and he is terrorizing my children. They are following me from room to room afraid he is going to eat them if they are by themselves. Man, it’s only 3??? ********And all at once everything is right in the world. Kayla gave me a HUGE hug and said, "Did you know you are the best mommy in the whole world? I love you, Mommy Friend." :)******* Kayla said she dreamed that she was using the potty last night, so she did. In my bed. This has been a long day. And it is only 11:00. ******** Listening to my girls hold their own church service. So far, they haven't left out a thing! :) *********** Melissa said, "I don't want you to think that your Valentine's present from me has anything to do with balloons. I don't even want you to think that." Hmmmm... I wonder what she has for me?! ************** I. Am. Not. Going. To. Make. It. I just opened the freezer to find that Melissa had filled Kayla's snow boot with water and froze it. ********* I LOVE listening to the girls at bedtime. Tonight they fell asleep talking about the babies they have in their tummies. Silly Girls.

Snowy, the SnowGirl...

We were blessed with a little more snow last night. I think it came because Melissa prayed that she would be able to play with her Daddy just one more time in the snow. They really enjoyed themselves and ended up being out there an HOUR! After they came in and had some hot chocolate, they snuggled on the sofa and watched NickJr. Wait, we are still on the sofa watching NickJr! Nice, lazy day.

Valentine Party with the Homeschoolers...

Yesterday we had a Valentine Party with our Homeschool friends. It was So fun! How blessed we are to have such great families in our lives! We decorated cupcakes, had a dance-off, made cards, made CUTE love-bug hats, ate some yummy snacks and played and played and played. We love homeschool activities!

Tia Ria was very sweet and invited the girls over for a Valentine's party at her house! They loved everything! The decorated cupcakes, made cards, played Candy Land and ran the loop for what felt like hours. We LOVE spending time with her family. We are so blessed to have them in our lives. :)

Cherished Memories

We went home this past weekend to specifically spend time with MY Grandparents. They are getting older and their health isn't the best, so, I thought that we should make the trip before I am not allowed to travel. The girls LOVED spending time with their Great-Grandparents.

My mom took the girls to a special Lunch-date with Grandma Nanny. They picked up some fast food from Wendy's and went to her house for a picnic. She made them cupcakes and let them explore her house. They had a BLAST and are still talking about it! They think it should be a tradition... I agree.
